Since our foundation in 1905, we have grown from a small soap manufacturer to become the leading hygiene specialist in Austria with 20,000 customers from all industries. With our own research & development and production at our main site in Zirl, we ensure innovation and quality made in Austria.

Our history
We have written our success story with far-sighted decision-making, strong values and a great team, and look forward to future challenges.1905
In the beginning there was soap. And Julius Holluschek. Our founding father started with a small soap boiling business in Innsbruck. His diligence, courage and entrepreneurial spirit make him a role model for us to this day.
1948
The manufacture of new products and the positive business development necessitates the expansion of the factory premises at the founding location in Innsbruck.
1971
This success means that there is no longer enough space available at the founding location. Production and logistics are therefore relocated to the current company site in Zirl.
1973
We expand throughout Austria and supply customers from all industries. We employ 80 people.
1984
We develop one of the first phosphate-free detergents. The prelude to the ecological orientation of our product range.
1996
In order to expand our business activities in Italy, we take over Relavit International GmbH in Laives, Bolzano.
1999
We are awarded the Austrian national coat of arms, an honour that we are still proud of today as a family business with local research & development and production.
2000
We expand our expertise in surface cleaning with the acquisition of gruber Reinigungstechnik GmbH. We employ 230 people and generate an annual turnover of over €25 million.
2009
We develop a system to significantly reduce the pH value in products while maintaining the same cleaning performance. We are awarded the Austrian Ecolabel for this.
2012
Under the name hollueco, we create a wide range of cleaning products based on renewable raw materials comprising over 60 products.
2016
We are awarded the European Union's EMAS certification – one of the world's most demanding seals of approval for sustainable environmental management.
2018
We take responsibility at all levels and firmly embed the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our corporate strategy.
2020
After intensive development work, our NOA software solution is born, which digitalises hygiene processes in companies and makes them safe.
2023
We are modernising our hollu Campus in Zirl in several construction phases. New production, logistics & office buildings and a nature recreation park will be built by 2025.
